In Germany, mopeds do not require a TÜV (Technical Inspection Association) as they are considered to be low-powered vehicles. However, they still need to be roadworthy and meet certain safety standards. Mopeds must also be registered and insured in order to be legally operated on public roads. It is important for moped owners to regularly maintain and service their vehicles to ensure they are safe to ride. **
